When God first spoke to me about going to Israel I understood a little about the power of praying scripture. The example God gave me was the prayer that Daniel prayed after he came to understand that the prophecy of Jeremiah’s seventy years was about to be fulfilled. Lead by the Holy Spirit to pray, he prayed on behalf of the children of Israel who were in exile a prayer of repentance from their rebellious ways. He believed that intercession was needed to release the exiled from their captivity. His prayers I believe caused the Jewish people to find favor with kings they lived under and in turn to help them to return to their inheritance, Israel. Since that time God has pointed out to me
similar patterns in scripture. So for the past five years I have been praying scripturally for the return of the Jewish people to their inheritance, the land of Israel. The scriptural pattern I saw took me to Moses’s story in Exodus and
how God called him to go before Pharaoh and to prophetically decree that Pharaoh must let Israel go to worship God in their promised land. We all remember what happened to Pharaoh of Egypt; because he hardened his heart against letting Israel go the judgement of God fell upon Egypt.
Jehoshaphat’s prayer in 2Chronacles 20:8-12 we see Israel come under attack from their neighbouring countries.
Jehoshaphat prayed that God would do something about these invading armies who were trying to take their land from them. God answered and said stand still and see the Salvation of the Lord. From these scriptural examples of prayer I believe God is saying that we need to unite together and to prophetically intercede for Israel and the Jewish people who are still in exile to return home. What do I mean?
Envision a large group of believers united together to pray for the return of Israel as the above examples has shown us. We will be praying with authority the word of God as we see below.
Isaiah 45:11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands you command me.
From this Scripture I have come to understand that God wants us to take His word and to interceed prophetically sending it forth so that, like in the time of Daniel, and Moses the written word of prophecy can be released. I look at us as giving the angels an assignment to take the word of God to bring it into fulfilment.
Psalm 103:20 Bless the LORD, you angels of His, you mighty in strength, that fulfil His word, hearkening unto the voice of His word.
Purpose; not only to see the Jewish people return but to be able to return to a secure home
land.
Another example is to exercise our authority in God to speak against the injustice that is done.
Proverbs 14:19 The evil bows before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
I am decreeing that Palestine authority Bow before God of Israel and His representatives, the
Israeli Government. Based on Job.22:28
